New Hampshire Might Succeed From Union Using HCR 6

New Hampshire is getting on the bandwagon and taking a stand against an intrusive, invasive, and downright despicable General Government that flaunts its power to change and re-interpret the Constitution of the United States of America at will.

HCR 6 declares in a nutshell, that any acts taken by the General Government not authorized by the Constititution of the United States of America, shall be construed as seizing the rights of the states, and shall thereby require a change in the General Government.

A RESOLUTION affirming States’ rights based on Jeffersonian principles.

Whereas the Constitution of the State of New Hampshire, Part 1, Article 7 declares that the people of this State have the sole and exclusive right of governing themselves as a free, sovereign, and independent State; and do, and forever hereafter shall, exercise and enjoy every power, jurisdiction, and right, pertaining thereto, which is not, or may not hereafter be, by them expressly delegated to the United States of America in congress assembled…

  • The Republican Party has crossed the isle to many times in an effort to work with the opposition. This became evident especially during the presidential election, as McCain constantly reminded us all of his ability to do so. Few Americans realize their personal liberties, guaranteed by our constitution are aggressively under attack by the far left and our ever expanding Federal Government. It is imperative that we forcefully spread the word about the “State Sovereignty Movement” here in NY and establish the Republican Party as the leader in retaining our fundamental rights. It is appalling to realize how poorly educated our fellow citizens are ( young and old), how their minds and bodies have become addicted to the concept that only a large socialistic Federal Government can resolve both their personal and economic problems. I personally have spoken to numerous friends, family members and fellow employees and was surprised how little they know of Madison, Jefferson, Adams, Hamilton and the fundamental rights we enjoy as Americans. It is shocking to discover how few have even read the constitution, never mind the numerous letters and comments of our founding fathers. Our federal government is out of control, the stimulus package is madness and FDR/Wilson style socialism is on the way. Even the most hardened Federalists (Madison Hamilton), would be willing to restart the American Revolution if they were alive today. Madison“”The powers delegated to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the state governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, [such] as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce. The powers reserved to the several states will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people.”Hamilton- who was an ardent Federalist stated In the Federalist (No. 32): “an entire consolidation of the States into one national sovereignty would imply an entire subordination of the parts; and whatever powers might remain in them would be altogether dependent on the general will. But as the plan of the convention [the Constitutional Convention of 1787] aims only at a partial union or consolidation, the State governments would clearly retain all right of sovereignty which they before had and which were not, by that act exclusively delegated to the United States.” Hamilton then went even further in issuing No. 33 which tells us that any acts committed by the Federal government that are not pursuant to the authority delegated to the it by the states would be “merely acts of usurpation” and not deserving the authority of law.Jefferson, in the “Tree of Liberty Letter” wrote,“We have had 13. states independent 11. years. There has been one rebellion. That comes to one rebellion in a century & a half for each state. What country before ever existed a century & a half without a rebellion? & what country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon & pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. It is it's natural manure.”We must hold the line. Martin Farrell Warwick NY
