Ohio Public Safety Spokesman Tom Hunter Says Ohio Has No Plans To Oppose Real ID Act

By Tim Doulin

Saturday, January 12, 2008

Ohio plans to start stricter screening in 2010 to meet federal Real ID standards.

Ohio motor-vehicle officials pride themselves on giving you same-day service to get a driver’s license, but new federal guidelines prompted by the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack might make that convenience a thing of the past.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security yesterday announced the final minimum security standards for state-issued license and identification cards called Real ID, which won’t take effect for another two years.

The Ohio Department of Public Safety was busy digesting a 250-plus page document, with an eye toward the impact on customer service and cost.

“Ohioans are accustomed to having the ability to go to a local (Bureau of Motor Vehicle) and get same-day issuance of a license,” said Tom Hunter, state public-safety spokesman.

“How will Real ID impact that? At this point, simply, we don’t know because we haven’t had the opportunity to review the final rules presented by the DHS.”

In an attempt to prevent terrorists, con artists and undocumented immigrants from obtaining fake identifications, Real ID sets specific requirements that states must adopt, such as making applicants show proof of identity and U.S. citizenship or legal status, and making state workers verify the documents provided by the applicants.

Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff noted that the Sept. 11 hijackers obtained 30 driver’s licenses and IDs and used more than 350 aliases.

“Real ID will give law-enforcement and security officials a powerful advantage against falsified documents, and it will bring some peace of mind to citizens wanting to protect their identity from theft by a criminal or illegal alien,” Chertoff said in a statement released yesterday.

The earliest the program will be implemented is Jan. 1, 2010. At the request of states, the federal government extended the deadline, which had been this May.

Homeland Security wants every American born after Dec. 1, 1964, to have the more secure license by Dec. 1, 2014. For everyone else, the enrollment deadline is expected to be extended to Dec. 1, 2017.

Federal officials expect the program to cost about $3.9 billion nationally, down from a preliminary estimate of about $14.6 billion. They said that was because many states already have implemented more secure procedures and they can phase in the program over time based on age.

It was unclear how much it will cost Ohio to implement the program. Originally, state officials thought it would cost in excess of $40 million, but that was before Homeland Security revised the national figure.

“We will know more about that when we review those rules,” Hunter said. “You don’t want to pass that cost on to the consumer. It is something we are going to try to avoid at all costs.”

Hunter said Ohio has no plans to oppose Real ID.

“At this time, we are going to have to review the final rules to make a determination, but we have been moving full steam ahead with the intent of implementing Real ID in Ohio,” Hunter said.

Six states have passed laws prohibiting their residents from complying with the Real ID law.

Not everyone in Ohio is sold on the idea.

“I think there are better things they can spend money on,” said Allison Siever, 25, of Hilliard, who was renewing her license yesterday at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles office on W. Broad Street.

Ron Caldwell, who was there to replace his driver’s license, agreed.

“All our tax dollars go to these extra levels of security which most likely aren’t going to do anything anyway,” said Caldwell, 56, of the Brewery District.

“Do you know how much health care $3.9 billion could cover?”

A Real ID

• Ohioans born after Dec. 1, 1964, must obtain the new driver’s license between Jan. 1, 2010, and Dec. 1, 2014.

• Anyone 50 or older on Dec. 1, 2014, will have until Dec. 1, 2017, to comply.

• After Dec. 1, 2017, you will need the new license for official purposes, including boarding an airplane.

• U.S. citizens must provide documentation that includes name and address, date of birth and Social Security number. Most of that information will be on your old license; if your Social Security number isn’t, you will need to bring in your card or obtain a copy.

• Noncitizens must show they are in the country legally with an unexpired visa, a permanent or temporary residence-status card, an approved or pending application for asylum, documents showing refugee status, or a pending or approved application for temporary protected status.

• States say the renewal process will take longer, but Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicle officials said they still want to provide same-visit service.

• Your photograph will be taken at the beginning of the application process for a license instead of at the end. If your documentation proves false, officials will have your photo for their records.

• The license will look similar to the one you have now, including anti-tampering or counterfeiting features and machine-readable technology.

• The license is good for up to eight years, although states can require a shorter renewal period.

Is Occultist Aleister Crowley George Bush’s Grandfather?

By Jonathan Elinoff | | Dec. 18, 2007

Aleister Crowley was an influential member in several occult organizations, including the Golden Dawn, the Argenteum Astrum, and Ordo Templi Orientis (O.T.O.) and is best known today for his occult writings, especially The Book of the Law, the central sacred text of Thelema. He gained much notoriety during his lifetime, and was infamously dubbed “The Wickedest Man In the World.”

Throughout the period of 1895, he maintained a vigorous sex life, which was largely conducted with prostitutes and girls he picked up at local pubs and cigar shops, but eventually extended into homosexual activities in which he played the passive role. Crowley practiced sexual magic rituals with both men and women, but some claim that all of his romantic relationships were with females. They claim that the power of these rituals lay in their tabooness and that Crowley expressed personal distaste for ‘recreational’ homosexuality. However, biographer Sutin recounts Crowley’s relationship with, and lasting feelings for, Herbert Charles Pollitt, whom he met while at Cambridge in 1897. Pollitt did not share his partner’s mystical leanings, and Crowley had this to say about ending their relationship:

I told him frankly that I had given my life to religion and that he did not fit into the scheme. I see now how imbecile I was, how hideously wrong and weak it is to reject any part of one’s personality.

He would have made any public expressions of “distaste” at a time when British law officially forbade homosexuality. The arrest, conviction and imprisonment of Oscar Wilde took place in Crowley’s first year at Cambridge. In the autobiographical preface to Crowley’s drama The World’s Tragedy, he included a section on “Sodomy” where he openly admitted his bisexuality and praised sex between men. However, someone removed these two pages from all copies of the book except those Crowley gave to close friends.

Later, in a January 1929 letter, he wrote

There have been about four men in my life that I could say I have loved… Call me a bugger if you like, but I don’t feel the same way about women. One can always replace a woman in a few days.

While that claim about women conflicts with other statements and actions of Crowley’s, it accurately describes his relationships with Pollitt and various working class women during his college years.

How does this connect to Barbara Bush? Barbara Bush was born Barbara Pierce, daughter of Pauline Pierce, but not daughter of Marvin Pierce. After Pauline’s first two children, she traveled to Europe and spent several years with Frank harris and Aleister Crowley. Though Pauline was married to Marvin Pierce, Marvin did not accompany her during her long stay with the Occultic, sexually explicit Aleister Crowley.

Pauline Robinson had befriended a woman named Nellie O’Hara, an American adventuress who, at some point during her European travels, met the famed writer Frank Harris. Despite his advancing years, Harris still maintained a reputation for sexual excess that rivaled Crowley’s. During this period (1919-1927), Nellie and Frank Harris lived as man and wife, although they could not actually wed because Harris’ second wife was still alive and would not grant a divorce.

Harris and Crowley were good friends. Not only that: At this time, and not for the last time, Crowley was very much the proverbial “friend in need.”

During the Abbey period, a Crowley follower had accidentally died during a magickal ceremony. The incident created a firestorm of unwanted publicity (the sensationalist British press labeled Crowley “The Wickedest Man in the World”), which prompted Mussolini’s government to expel Crowley and his followers from Italian soil. By 1924, he lived in poverty in France, where Frank Harris kindly took him under his roof. This arrangement inevitably brought Crowley into contact with Nellie.

Crowley’s diaries, to which I have been given access, clearly indicate that he depended on Harris for financial assistance:

January 3rd 1924 – “No luck about cash yet: but F.H. promises 500 fr to-morrow – so that I can bolt to Paris. One step onward to the Establishment of the Law of Thelema.

The money soon ran out, and AC (as his associates called him) soon had to ask his friend for further assistance. At this time, Harris was writing his multi-volume “erotic autobiography,” My Life and Loves; he also purchased a newspaper, The Evening Telegram. But he lacked the resources and management skills to make the enterprise a success, and soon found himself in a financial position no better than Crowley’s.

Despite his parlous economic circumstances, Crowley focused his attention on sex magick. Not many years previously, he and a follower named Jeanne Foster (a.k.a. Soror Hilarion) had conducted a sex-magickal rite designed to give birth to a child destined to carry on Crowley’s work. I have not been able to determine whether he conducted similar experiments with Nellie, although given the polyamorous proclivities of all the parties involved, one should not discount the possibility.

Nellie’s friend Pauline no doubt scandalized her social circle by traveling to France on her own and leaving two very young children in the care of nursemaids. However, her correspondence with her friend — whose life in France with a famous literary figure must have seemed quite glamorous — can only have inspired a sense of wanderlust. Her husband, increasingly bound to his duties with the McCall Corporation, did not share this spirit of adventure.

Thus it was that four individuals came together: Frank Harris, Nellie O’Hara, Pauline Pierce, and Aleister Crowley. Anyone who has studied Crowley’s life will understand that what happened next was, in a sense, inevitable.

Crowley’s diaries for this period record the initials “PVN,” a cryptic reference to his favorite sexual position, which some of his partners found distasteful. (The letters derive from the Latin for “By way of the Infernal Entrance.”) This is a common annotation in the records of Crowley’s magical practices. We also find the strange initials “ECL.” After researching the matter for some time, I have come to the conclusion that this is a reference to the practice known as “Eroto-Comotose Lucidity.”

Before proceeding, I should emphasize that the year 1924 has a special significance in the Crowley chrnology. At this time, he is said to have undergone the “supreme ordeal” connected with his attainment of the Grade of Ipsissimus, the highest magickal achievement within his order. The exact nature of this ordeal remains mysterious. I believe that an important clue can be found in his description of the rite of Eroto-Comotose Lucidity:

The Candidate is made ready for the Ordeal by general athletic training, and by feasting. On the appointed day he is attended by one or more chosen and experienced attendants whose duty is (a) to exhaust him sexually by every known means (b) to rouse him sexually by every known means. Every device and artifice of the courtesan is to be employed, and every stimulant known to the physician. Nor should the attendants reck of danger, but hunt down ruthlessly their appointed prey.

Finally the Candidate will into a sleep of utter exhaustion, resembling coma, and it is now that delicacy and skill must be exquisite. Let him be roused from this sleep by stimulation of a definitely and exclusively sexual type. Yet if convenient, music wisely regulated will assist.

The attendants will watch with assiduity for signs of waking; and the moment these occur, all stimulation must cease instantly, and the Candidate be allowed to fall again into sleep; but no sooner has this happened than the former practice is resumed. This alteration is to continue indefinitely until the Candidate is in a state which is neither sleep nor waking, and in which his Spirit, set free by perfect exhaustion of the body, and yet prevented from entering the City of Sleep, communes with the Most High and the Most Holy Lord God of its being, maker of heaven and earth.

The Ordeal terminates by failure—the occurence of sleep invincible— or by success, in which ultimate waking is followed by a final performance of the sexual act. The Initiate may then be allowed to sleep, or the practice may be renewed and persisted in until death ends all. The most favourable death is that occurring during the orgasm, and is called Mors Justi.

As it is written: Let me die the death of the Righteous, and let my last end be like his!

If he did undergo this “ordeal” in 1924, then we must presume that his key associates of that time — including Nellie and Pauline — functioned as his assistants.

Pauline returned to America in early October of 1924. On June 8, 1925, she gave birth to a girl named Barbara. Barbara Pierce married George H.W. Bush, who eventually became the 41st President of the United States.

Now, more than 80 years later, the story about the Bush’s lives connects with the man who claimed to “give birth to the 20th century” inspiring the New World Order and Occultist influence of many of the political leaders today.

History Channel To Air Dark And Twisted "Life After People" – History Channel Nazi Connections

By Jaymes | January 16, 2008

A couple of years ago I would have considered a show such as the History Channel’s upcoming, “LIFE AFTER PEOPLE” to be nothing more than a hypothetical morbid journey into the worst of ‘what if’ scenarios, but then there was End Game. After watching Alex Jones’ ground-breaking documentary, not to mention my own obsessive research into the topic, I believe that I can safely conclude that there are some dark-twisted ulterior motives to the airing of this History Channel special. It certainly seems reasonable to think that with the staggering amount of evidence proving the world elite’s heart-felt plan to rid the planet of 80% of its inhabitants, that this History Channel special is either a sick joke, or their version of a fair warning for what the elite have planned. Given this hypothetical total population “disappearance” scenario, one wonders if Dr. Pianka and his students will be throwing a party for the event…

What would happen to planet earth if the human race were to suddenly disappear forever? Would ecosystems thrive? What remnants of our industrialized world would survive? What would crumble fastest? From the ruins of ancient civilizations to present day cities devastated by natural disasters, history gives us clues to these questions and many more in the visually stunning and thought-provoking new special LIFE AFTER PEOPLE, premiering Monday, January 21st, 2008 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on The History Channel®. Abandoned skyscrapers would, after hundreds of years, become “vertical ecosystems” complete with birds, rodents and even plant life. One small animal might be responsible for bringing down the Hoover Dam hydroelectric plant. Swelled rivers, crumbling bridges and buildings, grizzly bears in California and herds of buffalo returning to the Great Western Plains: In a world without humans, these would be the visual hallmarks. Our cars would shrivel to piles of dust, our house pets would be overtaken by flourishing wildlife and most of the records of our human storybooks, photos, recordswould fade quickly, leaving little evidence that we ever existed.Using feature film quality visual effects and top experts in the fields of engineering, botany, ecology, biology, geology, climatology and archeology, Life After People provides an amazing visual journey through the ultimately hypothetical. The 1986 nuclear power plant accident at Chernobyl and its aftermath provides a riveting and emotional case study of what can happen after humans have moved on. Life After People goes to remote islands off the coast of Maine to search for traces of abandoned towns, beneath the streets of New York to see how subway tunnels may become watery canals, to the Montana wilderness to divine the destiny of the bears and wolves. Humans won’t be around forever, and now we can see in detail, for the very first time, the world that will be left behind in Life After People.

William Hearst – Friend of Hitler

William Randolph Hearst is the name of a multi-millionaire who sought to help the Nazis in their psychological warfare against the Soviet Union. Hearst was a well-known US newspaper proprietor known as the ‘father’ of the so-called ‘yellow press’, i.e., the sensationalist press. William Hearst began his career as a newspaper editor in 1885 when his father, George Hearst, a millionaire mining industrialist, Senator and newspaper proprietor himself, put him in charge of the San Francisco Daily Examiner.

This was also the start of the Hearst newspaper empire, an empire which strongly influenced the lives and thinking of North Americans. After his father died, William Hearst sold all the mining industry shares he inherited and began to invest capital in the world of journalism. His first purchase was the New York Morning Journal, a traditional newspaper which Hearst completely transformed into a sensationalist rag. He bought his stories at any price, and when there were no atrocities or crimes to report, it behoved his journalists and photographers to ‘arrange’ matters. It is this which in fact characterises the ‘yellow press’: lies and ‘arranged’ atrocities served up as truth.

These lies of Hearst’s made him a millionaire and a very important personage in the newspaper world. In 1935 he was one of the richest men in the world, with a fortune estimated at $200 million. After his purchase of the Morning Journal, Hearst went on to buy and establish daily and weekly newspapers throughout the US. In the 1940s, William Hearst owned 25 daily newspapers, 24 weekly newspapers, 12 radio stations, 2 world news services, one business providing news items for films, the Cosmopolitan film company, and a lot of others. In 1948 he bought one of the US’s first TV stations, BWAL – TV in Baltimore. Hearst’s newspapers sold 13 million copies a day and had close to 40 million readers. Almost a third of the adult population of the US were reading Hearst newspapers every day. Furthermore, many millions of people throughout the world received information from the Hearst press via his news services, films and a series of newspapers that were translated and published in large quantities all over the world.

William Hearst’s outlook was ultra-conservative, nationalist and anti-communist. His politics were the politics of the extreme right. In 1934 he travelled to Germany, where he was received by Hitler as a guest and friend. After this trip, Hearst’s newspapers became even more reactionary, always carrying articles against socialism, against the Soviet Union and especially against Stalin. Hearst also tried to use his newspapers for overt Nazi propaganda purposes, publishing a series of articles by Goering, Hitler’s right-hand man. The protests of many readers, however, forced him to stop publishing such items and to withdraw them from circulation.

After his visit with Hitler, Hearst’s sensationalist newspapers were filled with ‘revelations’ about the terrible happenings in the Soviet Union – murders, genocide, slavery, luxury for the rulers and starvation for the people, all these were the big news items almost every day. The material was provided to Hearst by the Gestapo, Nazi Germany’s political police. On the front pages of the newspapers there often appeared caricatures and falsified pictures of the Soviet Union, with Stalin portrayed as a murderer holding a dagger in his hand. We should not forget that these articles were read each day by 40 million people in the US and millions of others worldwide!
